Seafood Specials for Lent, Easter

Cajan Jambalaya Pasta at The Cheesecake FactoryMany restaurant chains are offering seafood specials during Lent.  This year (2017), Lent is from Wednesday, March 1 (Ash Wednesday) through Holy Saturday (April 15), the day before Easter.  Here’s are the national chains that have announced specials for Lent and Easter.

A&W  has Pub Style Shrimp and Cod Baskets for the season.

Arby’s  has their Crispy Fish Sandwich on special for 2 for $5 for a limited time.   Made with wild-caught Alaskan Pollock. lettuce and tartar sauce on a sesame seed bun.

Bakers Square has a Lenten menu that features seafood favorites like Salmon, Tilapia, Seafood Chowder, Crispy Fish Sliders and more. Also, on Fridays from 5 – 9 PM through April 14, 2017 enjoy the All You Can Eat Friday Fish Fry, which includes golden-battered cod with tartar sauce, seasoned French fries and choice of coleslaw or fresh fruit for $11.99.

Bob Evans has Biscuit Breaded Shrimp and Wild Caught Alaskan Code for the Lenten season.  Also get $5 off a $25 check through March 26, 2017 with THIS COUPON.

Bojangles  has brought back their Bojangler Fish Sandwich for Lent.  The light, wild-caught Alaskan Pollock filet is made with Bojangles’ popular fry seasoning, cheddar cheese and tartar sauce on a toasted, buttered bun.Baked Cod Friday Fish special at Boston MarketBoston Market has a Wild Caught Pacific Cod meal on Fridays now through Good Friday.  Priced at $8.49, Boston Market’s Baked Cod is topped with a Parmesan garlic crumb and served with lemon garlic sauce, two classic sides and freshly baked cornbread.  Boston Market announced the offer in This Email.

Buffalo Wings & Rings has a Lenten menu available from March 1 – April 13, 2017.  The menu consists of two new seafood dishes plus a few featured meatless items from the regular menu. All North America locations will offer fish & chips – a Haddock filet flash-fried in Sam Adams batter – and a blackened Chilean salmon sandwich with garlic aioli, greens and tomatoes. Additionally, the brand’s cauliflower wings will be back by popular demand.  The restaurants will also feature more meatless menu items such as pretzel bites, parmesan garlic aioli fries, and veggie quesadillas.

Cheeseburger in Paradise has All You Can Eat Fish Fridays during Lent.  The $13.99 special features all the golden-fried fish and chips you can eat, served with coleslaw.  Offers available at select locations.  Cheeseburger in Paradise announced the deals on their website.

Church’s Chicken is serving a variety of Lent-friendly menu options now through Easter.   The chain is featuring Lemon-Seasoned Butterfly Shrimp and Crispy Fish items during Lent.  These feature marinated shrimp or flaky white fish filets, fried with zesty lemon herb seasoning. Also returning for Lent are Hush Puppy Biscuit Bites™, crisp and tender hush puppies made from Church’s signature biscuit dough. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar has a $49.95 Filet & Lobster special, good now through April 15, 2017. Start with an amuse-bouche of a colossal shrimp with passion fruit, followed by a choice of salad (Fleming’s Salad or Modern Caesar).  Finally, enjoy an 8 oz. Fleming’s also plans an Easter Brunch special with three courses starting at $44.95.  Brunch will be offered from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. and will begin with a choice of creamy Lobster Bisque, crisp Modern Caesar salad or Housemade Burrata Salad. Entrée choices include Fleming’s Signature Eggs Benedict, Farm Fresh Veggie Omelet, Cinnamon Apple Brioche French Toast, California-style Steak and Eggs or a Grilled Ora King Salmon Cobb Salad.  All entrées are served with Lyonnaise Potatoes and Pan-Seared Broccolini. Wendy’s has brought back their Premium North Pacific Cod Sandwich, which features wild-caught North Pacific Cod coated in a crispy, panko breading and topped with a creamy, dill tartar sauce and crunchy dill pickles.
