Long John Silver’s has updated their $5 Real Deal special, now giving customers the option of fish, chicken, or shrimp.
Long John Silver’s has added brand new Crispy Breaded Chicken Tenders to the lineup. The $5 Reel Deal Box is available in participating locations across the country through May 28.
The new $5 Reel Deal Box comes with a choice of three Crispy Breaded Chicken Tenders, two pieces of classic battered fish or chicken, or one piece of classic battered fish and 3 shrimp. All of the choices are served with natural-cut fries, two signature hushpuppies, an icy cold 20-ounce drink, and a Hershey’s® Chocolate Chip Cookie for dessert.
“Fans of the brand tell us all the time how much they love our fish, but they really like our chicken too,” said Stephanie Mattingly, Vice President of Media and PR. “The crunch of the lightly cooked breading and the succulent, juicy chicken work in tandem for a flavor we think our customers will love.”
The fast food chain announced the special on the Long John Silver’s Home page. No coupon is required.
About Long John Silver’s (from Wikipedia)
Long John Silver’s, Inc., is a United States-based fast-food restaurant that specializes in seafood. The name of the brand is borrowed from the novel Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, in which the pirate “Long John” Silver is one of the main characters. Formerly a division of Yum! Brands, Inc., the company was divested to a group of franchisees in 2011.
The restaurant, which has more than 1200 units worldwide, was formerly a division of Yum! Brands, Inc. Long John Silver’s food offerings include platters, sandwiches, and various single items. The platters feature seafood as the main item, with side dishes consisting of coleslaw, hush puppies, corn, green beans, and French fries (chips) or batter fried onion rings. Seafood items include fish, clams, and shrimp, with chicken fingers known as “Chicken Planks”. More recently, the brand began offering baked cod as a lower-calorie option. The restaurants also sell dessert offerings as separate items.
