January 20, 2016

chuck-e-cheese-coupons-specialsTo celebrate national Cheese Lover’s Day Chuck E. Cheese has a pizza taste test video filmed on the streets of New York.

Chuck E. Cheese went incognito in an unmarked food truck and handed out free pizza samples and gauged reactions from the New Yorkers that tried their pizza.  The pizza chain also issued new coupons for January, which you can find at Chuck E. Cheese coupons.

Appropriately released on January 20, 2016, National Cheese Lover’s Day, the video shows the pizza sampling on the streets of Manhattan and captures New Yorkers’ surprise and delight when they discover the great-tasting pizza was actually made by Chuck E. Cheese’s.

Unsuspecting New Yorkers were wowed by two recipes from the brand’s enhanced menu, launched in 2015, Chuck E. Cheese said in a press release.

Taste testers were especially impressed with Chuck E. Cheese’s Thin & Crispy Pepperoni pizza—which recently beat Pizza Hut in a nationwide taste test. They also loved the fresh, sophisticated flavor of the Cali Alfredo pizza, made with a creamy white sauce and topped with spinach, sausage, mushrooms and roasted chicken breast. The video celebrates those who have always loved Chuck E. and introduces fresh, great tasting recipes to devoted cheese lovers. With its taste test video, Chuck E. Cheese’s is continuing to spark positive, lifelong memories for families through fun, food and play.

“What better place to test the taste of our new pizza than New York City?” quipped Chef Gregory Casale, senior director of culinary innovation for CEC Entertainment, Inc. “Even the Big Apple’s hard-core pizza fans loved our improved recipes made with hand-stretched dough, locally sourced veggies and fresh 100% whole milk mozzarella.”

About Chuck E. Cheese’s (from Wikipedia)

chuck-e-cheese-pizzaChuck E. Cheese’s (formerly Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza Time Theatre and Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza) is a chain of American family entertainment center restaurants. The establishment serves pizza and other menu items, complemented by arcade games, amusement rides, and animatronic displays as a focus of entertainment for the entire family. The brand derives its name from its main animatronic character Chuck E. Cheese, a comedic mouse who sings and interacts with guests.

Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza Time Theatre in San Jose, California, was the first location to open in 1977. The concept was authored by Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell, credited with bringing video games such as Pong to the mainstream. Pizza Time Theatre was the first family restaurant to integrate food, animated entertainment, and an indoor arcade.  The chain merged with competitor Showbiz Pizza Place in 1984, forming Showbiz Pizza Time, Inc. In the early 1990s, the company unified the two brands renaming every location to Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza. They redesigned the logo in 1994, dropping Pizza from each store’s name. In 1998, Showbiz Pizza Time, Inc. became CEC Entertainment, Inc., and the company operates 577 locations as of March 2014.

Menu Items

While its primary focus is pizza, Chuck E. Cheese’s also offers cold-cut sandwiches, buffalo wings, salad bars and desserts. Some stores are also used as “test” locations which feature new Chuck E. Cheese’s foods. Certain Chuck E. Cheese’s locations also offer beer and wine.

Starting on November 13, 2012, new gluten-free menu items are available at more than 500 locations in the U.S. and Canada. This currently includes a choice of a personal-size cheese pizza and an individual chocolate cupcake.

You can find Chuck E. Cheese’s locations on their website.
