Bennigan’s has an annual “Monte Cristo Day” every September with a free sandwich when you buy an entree. The 42-year-old chain celebrates Monte Christo Day every September 17, which is also “halfway to St. Patrick’s Day”.
Bennigan’s World Famous Monte Cristo starts with honey wheat bread layered with tender ham, roasted turkey and Swiss and American cheeses. It’s then batter-dipped, gently fried and coated with powdered sugar, and served with red raspberry preserves for dipping.
About Bennigan’s (from Wikipedia)
Bennigan’s is an Irish pub-themed casual dining restaurant chain founded in 1976 in Atlanta by restaurateur Norman E. Brinker as one of America’s original casual dining concepts.
On February 11, 2015, CEO Paul Mangiamele and his wife, Gwen, closed on a Management Buy Out (MBO) of the company from its parent private equity firm, for an undisclosed price. The new company, Legendary Restaurant Brands, LLC, is now the owner of the Bennigan’s restaurant chain, its fast-casual concept Bennigan’s On the Fly, and the Steak and Ale brand.
Currently, Bennigan’s operates 23 domestic and 39 international locations in eight other countries.
