Convenience and Reliability
When you download and open the app for the first time, you will not be asked to sign in. Click the sidebar menu and either sign up for an account or sign in if you already have one. When your registration is complete, you will be a DD Perks member. Rather than bombarding your screen with multiple notifications, Dunkin’ will have pop-ups appear on your screen as you navigate throughout the app. When you click the “Order” tab for the first time, you will be asked to enable locations services. Doing so will not only make mobile ordering easier but will also give you access to the local offers at Dunkin’ locations near you. You will also be asked to enable notifications. Doing so will help you receive timely updates, exclusive coupons, offers, and more. You can always change your preferences in your settings. In the sidebar menu, you will also have the option to access your order history and manage your payment methods. Both will make placing orders easier. Payment options include a Dunkin’ Gift Card or a credit/debit card.

All Dunkin’ account holders are eligible for their DD Perks Program. Every dollar you spend at Dunkin’ awards you five points. In addition, you can also earn bonus points for ordering certain items. These limited time offers will appear under the “Bonus Points” heading in the “Offers” tab. If you are ordering in-store or through drive thru, you can also earn points. Click the “Scan/Pay” tab and select “Pay Another Way” to find your unique QR Code that you can scan to get the points from your purchase. For every 200 points you earn, you will get a free beverage. You will also get a Free Birthday Beverage just for signing up! This coupon expires within seven days of your birthdate so be sure to redeem it as soon as you can. Furthermore, you will also have access to exclusive offers and deals through the app. Simply look under the “Offers and Deals” heading in the “Offers” tab of the app to see the list.

Is the Dunkin’ App Worth It?

The Dunkin’ app design and layout is very neat and easy to navigate through. There is no unnecessary clutter or multiple redirects for a sentence of information. Tracking rewards is very easy and changing personal preferences does not take long at all. Overall, the layout and app design are very simple but effective.
The DD Perks program is fantastic. The point system is relatively generous, although offering a menu item or drink for the 200-point reward would make it better. There are many ways to earn through the regular and bonus point systems, and app owners are rewarded for their time with exclusive deals and promotions that they would otherwise be unaware of. This in and of itself makes the app worthy of a spot on your device!
