Here’s our annual roundup of Veterans Day deals. Veteran’s Day is Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, but many specials continue on Monday, Nov. 12. Many chain restaurants have free entrees or other deals to salute our military.
To qualify you will need evidence of service such as a military ID or Veterans Organization Card (i.e., American Legion and VFW). Some restaurants allow a photo of yourself in uniform, or just wear your uniform.

Applebee’s has a free steak or other entree for veterans and active duty personnel on Veterans Day. This is during normal business hours on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. Choose from an Applebee’s Signature entree such as a 7 oz House Sirloin, Fiesta Lime Chicken or Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger. Beverages not included. Golden Corral has what is probably the biggest national event, their annual free dinner buffet for active duty personnel and veterans. This deal is on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. Krispy Kreme is offering a free doughnut and small coffee to veterans on Sunday, Nov. 11 2012. Veterans must be in uniform or have proof of military service. Note that freebie can’t be obtained through the drive through.
Little Caesars Pizza is offering all veterans a free order of Crazy Bread with proof of military status (military ID or DD-214 form) at participating stores nationwide this Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, 2012.

LongHorn, which says they plan to become America’s next favorite steakhouse by offering the widest variety of steak cuts in casual dining, and steaks that are fresh never frozen, is offering vets a free Texas Tonion and non-alcoholic beverage. McCormick & Schmick’s seafood restaurant has a free meal for veterans on Veterans Day. Choose from fried shrimp, grilled salmon, chicken chopped salad, cheeseburger and other entrees. On the Border announced that veterans dining on Nov. 11 will get a certificate for a free entree on a return visit. Certificate will be good for up to $10 anytime Nov. 12-30, 2012.
