With the BK Impossible Burger rollout, you can get meatless burgers and tacos at Burger King, Carls Jr, Red Robin and more places. Here’s our roundup of meatless options when you’re dining out. We haven’t come across meatless steak at Outback or anything like that yet, but we’ll let you know when we see it!
Meatless Options, in Alphabetical Order
A&W
A&W Restaurants are now serving Beyond Burgers at participating restaurants nationwide. “A&W is bringing the same quality that made our traditional burgers famous to the Beyond Burger,” said Sarah Blasi Mueller, senior vice president of Marketing and Development in this press release.
A&W’s Beyond Burger is grilled and served on a toasted bun, dressed with Papa sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles.
Burger King
In addition to the popular Impossible Whopper, Burger King announced they would begin testing a breakfast Croissan’Wich with plant-based sausage in select stores in January 2020. At this time, no national rollout has been announced.
The meat-free Impossible Whopper debuted nationwide on Thursday, August 8, 2019 and was a huge success.
“Our Impossible WHOPPER Sandwich features a savory flame-grilled patty made from plants topped with juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, ketchup, crunchy pickles, and sliced white onions on a soft sesame seed bun. 100% WHOPPER, 0% Beef,” the chain said in their announcement.

Carl’s Jr.
Carl’s Jr.’s has a meatless Beyond Famous Star Burger that the chain says tastes like a real beef burger, plus Beyond Sausage Biscuits and Breakfast Burritos.
“The Beyond Burger® (made by the folks at BEYOND MEAT®) is the world’s first plant-based burger that looks, cooks, and satisfies like beef, and is made without soy, gluten or GMOs. It has all the juicy, meaty deliciousness of a traditional burger and packs 20 grams of plant-based protein,” Carls Jr said.

Chipotle Mexican Grill

Del Taco Beyond Taco
Del Taco added meatless tacos at most locations starting Thursday, April 25, 2019. The chain teamed with Beyond Meat to create the meat-free items and so named the new lineup Beyond Tacos.
Del Taco said they will have two Beyond Taco menu items. The first item is the vegan Beyond Avocado Taco that will include Beyond Meat crumbles, avocado (hand-sliced), lettuce, and tomatoes in a taco shell. The second is the vegetarian Beyond Taco that will include Beyond Meat crumbles, cheddar cheese (hand-grated), lettuce and tomatoes in a taco shell.

Denny’s
Denny’s launches its Beyond Burger nationwide on January 30 in all of its restaurants. “We were thrilled to be able to answer the call from our guests to add more plant-based protein options to our menu when we launched the Beyond Burger in Los Angeles at the end of last year. The positive response we received validated our decision to partner with Beyond Meat to introduce our guests to a plant-based option,” said John Dillon, chief brand officer for Denny’s in this press release. “We could not be more excited to add the Beyond Burger to our permanent lineup of delicious, affordable menu options as we continue to innovate and expand our menu to meet evolving dietary preferences.”
Denny’s also serves a vegetarian burger with their Build Your Own Burger option. The veggie burger is filled with fresh veggies and Amy’s burgers as the veggie patty. Dunkin’
Dunkin’ Donuts now serves Beyond Breakfast Sausage as part of its breakfast menu. Dunkin’s Beyond Sausage Sandwich features Beyond Meat’s breakfast sausage patty made with 100% plant-based protein and a mix of spices crafted specifically for Dunkin’. The sandwich is served on an English muffin with egg and American cheese. The Beyond Sausage Sandwich has 10g of plant-based protein, and contains 29% less total fat, 33% less saturated fat and fewer calories, cholesterol and sodium than a traditional Dunkin’ sandwich.

Hooters has launched Meatless Wings nationwide starting January 6, 2020. “We’re excited to build upon our heritage of offering the broadest variety of wings under one roof by being the first to bring great tasting meatless wings to our guests!” said Carl Sweat, Chief Marketing Officer of Hooters of America in this press release. “By partnering with Quorn, we were able to create the taste, texture and crispiness of our world-famous chicken wings perfectly. Quiznos
Quiznos serves a Veggie Guacamole Sub with black olives, cucumbers, mushrooms, green peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, red wine vinaigrette, cheddar, and mozzarella. You can also skip the cheeses to make the Sub vegan. They also have a variety of breads to choose from.

Meanwhile, Subway will test a plant-based protein at nearly 700 restaurants starting in September 2019, the sandwich chain announced. Select locations will have the Beyond Meatball Marinara sub as part of a new partnership with Beyond Meat. The new meatless meatball sub will launch as a limited-time pilot in restaurants in Jackson, Mississippi; South Bend, Indiana; Fresno, California; Louisville, Kentucky and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Subway said.
